Kim loved to write, even at an early age. She won a Daughters of the American Revolution Essay contest as a child, and was encouraged to pursue writing by many who knew her. Although pursuing other options, she has always loved literature and is an avid reader of many genres. She has now returned to writing and sharing stories with others.
James started drawing after a mountain climbing accident at age 17. In 1978, he won 2nd place for “Newspaper Cartoon” from the Texas Junior College Press Assoc. Then life happened. After a many year detour, he returned to his
first love, writing and drawing. He is a member of Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators: SCBWI. Finally, he is following his dreams and he is where he wants to be, entertaining children with his imagination and artistic style.
