About the book
In a small shop on a small side street in a small town long ago, a tailor has just put the last stitch in a new red coat with white fur trim.  With the remaining scraps of red cloth, he sews a tasseled nightcap unlike any other nightcap he has made before.  But month after month, year after year, forgotten on the dusty shelf, the hat and its tassel remain for so long that strange things begin to happen – magical things – and an adventure that takes them from the tailor’s shop to the North Pole and beyond.
